Our Heartfelt Origins

Don McLean American Pie Parking began in 2021 as our quiet "field of dreams," a simple country space where people could safely stop, walk toward the crash site, and feel the story behind "the day the music died." We are music fans and neighbors, not a company, who chose to care for this land so visitors could connect with Buddy, Ritchie, the Bopper, and American Pie in a peaceful, personal way.

A Community Built With Kindness

Everything here runs on small acts of generosity. There is no corporate funding, and no government backing, just volunteers, donations, and folks who believe this story matters. Every dollar helps add gravel, improve signs, and move us closer to dedicated camping, a shelter house, concessions, and someday a little 1950s-style diner. When you visit, donate, or share our story, you become part of this living memorial and help carry the music forward.
